Many good things coming this year.

I am never very impressed with New year resolutions. They always seem to fade away after a few weeks. However this year is a bit of a make or break year. I have to make sure that the garden project works and I need to learn Spanish. They go together.
Last Sunday Tumianuma received candy and house supply gifts from Loja. The organizers and gifts arrived forty five minutes late and I was sitting with some of the garden ladies and hardly knew what they were talking about. It ended up rather hilarious. I still am not sure what they were saying but I knew that they were talking about being overweight and the word lechuga (lettuce) kept coming up. Finally I asked how lettuce could make you overweight. They all started laughing because they were using the word pechuga (breasts) not lechuga. I assumed they were making fun of themselves . A guy can get himself in trouble unwittingly. At the same time it is very frustrating, not being able to follow a conversation.
For me, learning Spanish is so boring. I always put it on the back burner. This week I am setting my alarm for 5.30 am every morning and will study Spanish for two hours before doing anything else.
The video describes our garden project.
